Vijay Anthony loves traveling his stereotyped pattern. Just like his previous albums, the musician has similar spell that in no way entertains the listeners. Couple of numbers does win our attention while rest of them is so mediocre.

1. Ussumu Laresay
Vocals: Vijay Antony, Emcee Jazz, Janaki Iyer
Lyrics: Priyan

Priyan’s lyrics aren’t so engaging and Vijay Anthony somehow tries pulling the attention with his usual tactics. The metal guitars, techno beats and rap lyrics by Emcee Jazz are the highlighting attributes. Vijay Anthony doesn’t modulate his vocalisms, which ultimately creates rawness in the song while Janaki Iyer gets on for a better show.

2. Kan Irandil...
Vocals: Naresh Iyer
Lyrics: Eknath

One of the cherry-picks of this album: although blatantly reminiscences some of the classic numbers. But the prototyped percussions make it sound more like a Telugu melody number. The flute and stringed instrumentals are of the same pattern. Naresh seems to have been more influenced by Vijay Anthony’s direction as we can sense his touches over his style of narration.

3. Thooral Podum
Vocals: Ajeesh, Janani Iyer
Lyrics: Eknath

A melodic duet and the credits go to singers. So far, it has been Naresh Iyer-Shreya Ghosal duo that was more utilized for such numbers. And now, we have the new combination of Ajeesh and Janani Iyer. Ajeesh carries the traces of Unni Krishnan and he is colossal over his job. Janani Iyer sounds different from her first number. The instrumentals during interludes are orchestrated with perfection.

4. Ulagam Unakku...
Vocals: Vijay Prakash
Lyrics: Annamalai

How come Dhanush wants to be a Rajnikanth, Vijay overnight? Even when Rajnikanth has stopped his way of preaching through title song, looks like Dhanush is eyeing upon the status. Sorry to say! The song lacks the pace and even lyrics aren’t appreciable. When you imagine Dhanush rendering it over the screens, it urges you to stop the track on halfway.

5. Idicha Pacharisi...
Vocals: Ranjith, Sangeetha, Vinaya
Lyrics: Annamalai

A song to celebrate. Vijay Anthony goes for his same pattern of adding every element of intensifying the celebrative mood. Ranjith, Sangeetha and Vinaya strive for the best shows. The visual might work better results for the song.

6. En Nenju...
Vocals: Vijay Prakash, Saindhavi
Lyrics: Priyan

The most happening singers – Vijay Prakash of ‘Hosanna’ fame and Saindhavi and ‘Adada Mazhada’ fame come together for a melodic duet. But again, Priyan’s so tedious lyrics irksomely spoil it. The running notes on strings and instrumentals by Vijay Anthony are appreciable. Vijay Anthony has to distinguish between a melody and fast-beat Kuthu songs. Instantly, he renders his high-pitched vocal for this number, which should have been used for an item number.

‘Uthamaputhiran’ has couple of good tunes while rest of the songs is not up to the mark. Maybe, it’s the right time that Dhanush should stop just focusing his performances and costumes, but get the best music for his films. His previous album ‘Kutty’ was a mere disappointment and this one is just an average fare.
