The wedding of Dhayanidhi Alagiri, one of the successful producers and distributors of Tamil cinema, is going to be a high profile affair with top guns of Indian politics taking part in it.
On Thursday, Dhayanidhi’s father M K Alagiri, who is the Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers, called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi and invited him for his son’s marriage.
Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minster M K Stalin, Union Textiles Minister Dhayanidhi Maran, former Minister and DMK MP T R Balu accompanied Alagiri. On the same day, the Central Minister also called on Congress president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and invited her for his son’s marriage.
Durai as he is known among family members and friends, Dhayanidhi was seeing Anusha for the past few years and is engaged to marry her on November 18. Alagiri formally invited his father and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to Dayandhi’s wedding on Wednesday, a day before he left for the country’s capital.
